Using AI for video is my new favorite thing and I’ll tell you why. As a freelancer who works with a variety of brands, businesses and organizations I work with a lot of video content. Some of that video content is up to an hour long or more! One of my biggest time killers (and something I don’t do much of for that reason) is cutting down primo pieces of video content to use for shorter, social videos. Video AI has made that so much easier and I’m totally pumped to tell you about it.

You can see here how everything on my YouTube Shorts channel is repurposed video from something else! You can see here from one of my client’s accounts, how we’ve used AI for video to create Shorts and other video for them as well.

Using Video AI and AI for Video to Cut Longer Videos into Shorter Ones

As the world becomes more digital, video content is becoming increasingly important. However, creating a high quantity of videos that are engaging and informative can be time-consuming and expensive. Not anymore!

This is where video AI and AI for video come in. By using these services, you can automatically cut your longer videos into shorter ones that can be repurposed on a variety of platforms. This saves time and money while still allowing you to create high-quality content.

One of the main benefits of using video AI and AI for video is that it allows you to easily repurpose your content. By cutting your longer videos into shorter ones, you can use them on social media, your website, or other platforms without having to create new content from scratch. This also makes it easier to target specific audiences with tailored content.

Short-Form Video Content is the Future

We’ve already seen short-form video content taking over with TIkTok, Reels and more, but that’s not going to end anytime soon. In fact, it’s only picking up — which is why it’s so important to jump on the tools available to you know to capitalize on the trend.

Short-form video content can be easily sculpted and manipulated into the size, colors and branding you need. For example, I use Canva to transform all kinds of video content into perfectly branded, mini-clips that work on a host of platforms.

The great thing about short-form content is that you can batch it up. Set aside a few hours one day and film a ton of content that you can then break up, brand and drip out over the course of the quarter or even the year.

Social Media Platforms to Repurpose On

Repurposing content and especially video using AI to chop it up is so incredible. Years ago, everything was so manual. Today? We’ve got it made! Remember when people had to go to an actually library to do research? That’s. how I feel about the “old days” of social media and content creation.

Here’s how I use AI for video to cut and create massive amounts of content for myself and my clients:

  • Feed the video into LiveLink, choose the size and let it do the work! A few moments later, LiveLink has sliced and diced your video into perfectly usable segments.
  • LiveLink actually gives your segments pre-written titles, so you can edit those or just use them if you like what they chose.
  • Download the clips and then upload them to Canva or your preferred editing tool.
  • Add branding, choose sizing, captions, etc.
  • Download from editing tool and then upload to social media platforms with optimal captions

Social Media Platforms to Repurpose One Piece of Short-Form Video Content

  • Instagram reels
  • Instagram stories
  • Tiktok
  • Facebook post
  • Facebook Reels
  • Pinterest carousels
  • Twitter video
  • Threads video
  • Linked In
  • YouTube Shorts
  • YouTube regular

The way you post each of these may look different, but remember: you are reaching a different audience on each platform! Adapt your copy and sizing to the platform. It can feel redundant, but it’s NOT to the people you will reach there.

Once, we felt like we couldn’t do it ALL, but with AI helping us with short-form video content, we can do SO MUCH MORE.

When I found LiveLink, I was hooked from moment #1. I’ve been using it daily for myself and my clients and it’s made me feel like I have virtual superpowers. I’ve heard people say that AI is like having a new employee or VA. I couldn’t agree more!

Anyone who is creating video content (which should be everyone at this point!) needs this tool. It will simplify your life and amplify your content.
